Telemetric Cloud Service – Basic System

Overview

This basic system provides the necessary NMEA 2000® equipment to realize Telemetric Cloud Service. The GPS antenna/receiver GPS200 produces the vessel’s location (Latitude and Longitude), Speed Over Ground (SOG), and Course Over Ground (COG), and this information is transmitted to the MBB300C over the NMEA 2000® network. The MBB300C is programmed to send any or all of the GPS data to the Maretron Telemetric Cloud Server using the vessel’s existing Internet connection. The GPS data is then stored within the cloud server where it can be accessed from ashore using one of two methods. First, for vessel tracking and data dashboard applications, N2KTracker® is used. For comprehensive asset management, including performance analysis and preventive maintenance, N2KExtractor® is used.

This basic system consists of a single GPS antenna receiver, however, any Maretron sensor or sensors can be added to the system with the corresponding data sent to the Maretron Telemetric Cloud Server for vessel tracking or analysis from ashore.

The following table shows the products included within this example system plus a list of the information or data available for display.

Product Description Available Data List
GPS200 Cabin Top GPS Position, speed over ground, course over ground, time, date, magnetic variation and more
