Sailboat Example – Comprehensive System

Overview

This comprehensive monitoring system will monitor and record important parameters on your sailboat, displaying vessel heading, position, depth, speed, battery, shore power, temperatures, bilge pumps, doors and fire alarms, engines, generators, and tanks on three sunlight readable displays and one 8” touchscreen, or the information can be viewed on tablets and smartphones. Even when you are off the boat, you can still receive status and alert text messages on your phone.

SMS100	Texting module	Sends text messages to one or more phone numbers when any monitored data in this list goes outside programmed limits
SSC300	Compass	Monitors magnetic heading, rate of turn and pitch and roll
GPS200	Cabin top GPS	Position, speed over ground, course over ground, time, date, magnetic variation and more
DST110	Depth/Speed/Water Temp	Measures water depth, speed through water, sea temperature, trip log and cumulative log
SIM100	Switch indicator	3 high bilge water indicators, magnetic door switch, smoke/heat detector, CO detector
ALM100	Alarm buzzer	Sounds a loud buzzer when any monitored data in this list goes outside programmed limit
DCM100	Battery monitor	Monitors battery voltage, current, temperature, state of charge and time remaining
ACM100	Shore power monitor	Monitors voltage, current, frequency and power
TMP100	Temperature monitor	Monitors cabin temperature, engine room temperature, alternator temperature, refrigerator temperature
RIM100	Run indicator	Monitors pump breaker status, pump run status, counts and times pump runs
J2K100	Engine Monitor	Monitors RPM, boost and oil pressure, oil and coolant temp, voltage, fuel rate, hours
J2K100	Generator Monitor	Monitors RPM, oil pressure, coolant temp, voltage, current frequency
FPM100	Tank Monitor	Monitors level in 2 fuel tanks, 2 fresh water tanks, black water and gray water tanks
DCR100	Nav. lights	Switches and monitors bow bi-color, stern, masthead, tri-color and anchor lights for burnt out bulbs.
VDR100	Vessel Data Recorder	Performance analysis, vessel tracking, preventative maintenance, warranty incident, and accident investigation.
