Maretron's DCM100 DC Monitor is an advanced electronic monitoring device used to measure the voltage and current of any direct current (DC) power source or load. Examples of DC power sources that can be monitored with the DCM100 include batteries, alternators, solar panels, and wind generators. The DCM100 can also be used to monitor DC loads like inverters, windlasses, DC refrigerators, or any DC branch circuit. When the DCM100 is used to monitor batteries, sophisticated circuitry and software algorithms monitor battery temperature, load current, charging current and terminal voltage to precisely compute battery state of charge, and time remaining. To measure current, the DCM100 uses an included state-of-the-art Hall effect current sensor which simply slips over the wire - you don't have to break connections or install connectors as you do with inline shunts used by other solutions. Best of all, the DCM100 is NMEA 2000® certified so you can view any and all DC information anywhere on the vessel using a compatible NMEA 2000® display.

The DCM100 is a key component of Maretron's N2KView® vessel monitoring and control system.

1.1.1.3 (2023-06-27) – Current Release
  • Fix the watchdog reset in gen load default
  • Correct response for testmode command "cal get"
  • Added support for PGN 127751 (DC Voltage/Current)
  • Added support for PGN 126993 (Heartbeat)
1.1.1.2 (2023-05-31) (Not Released)
  • Disable dual measuring current range as it caused issue when the DCM is operating with AC current (I) level at the switching/hysteresis region (DCM100SW-2)
1.0.5.2 (2015-03-06)
  • Changed the default value of Time Remaining Floor from 0% to 50% for Lead-Acid batteries, and from 0% to 5% for NiCad and NiMH batteries
  • Changed supported NMEA 2000 database version to 2.000
  • Corrected a problem where the time remaining was transmitted incorrectly when the calculated time remaining was zero
  • Corrected a problem where the time remaining could be transmitted incorrectly under very specific timing conditions
  • Corrected a problem where battery state of charge could be under calculated during extremely high current drain (could go to zero sooner than expected)
1.0.4 (2009-02-23)
  • Improved support for labeling of the device and its channels to store more pertinent information
  • Made the rate of transmission of periodically transmitted messages programmable. This allows you to speed up or slow down the transmission of messages from the device to meet system needs
(2008-12-11)
  • Added support for labeling of the device and its channels with N2KAnalyzer or DSM250. This enables the user to associate a unique text label with the DCM100 to more easily identify it on the network
  • Added support for battery banks with capacity in excess of 800 AH
  • Corrected an issue where current or voltage displayed values could be out of range under certain conditions
1.0.2 (2008-05-15)
  • Corrected a problem where state of charge in PGN 127506 could read > 100% in certain cases
1.0.1 (2008-04-24)
  • Initial public release
