When I am creating a favorite screen on the DSM150 or DSM250, I see an "Instance:" menu item; what does this mean?

Estimated Reading Time: < 1 Minute

NMEA 2000 allows multiple devices of the same type to be connected on a network at one time. The "Instance:" menu item allows you to choose a particular device for display on the DSM150 or DSM250. For example, if there were two GPS antennas on the network, you could pick which GPS is used for the display.

Note: This feature is only available for DSM150 and DSM250 Software Version 1.3.8 and later
