Why does my GPS100 transmit the wrong year?
Estimated Reading Time: 1 MinutesThere are rare occasions when the GPS100 will transmit an incorrect date as reflected in the year. This can happen if the GPS signals are weak or corrupted and the GPS100 incorrectly interprets time from the satellites. You can fix this by resetting the GPS100’s factory defaults using Maretron’s DSM150, DSM200, or DSM250 display:
- Scroll to "Device Configuration..." and press
- Scroll to the row containing the GPS100 and press
- Scroll to "Restore Factory Defaults" and press enter and then press accept.
- This will force the GPS100 to forget the previous incorrect date and recompute the time/date and position.
