What cellular bands does the SMS100 work with?

Estimated Reading Time: 1 Minutes

Yes, the SMS100 was designed to work with 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 3G UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA services. The SMS100 supports frequency bands 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz.

Note:

Carriers such as AT&T and  T-Mobile offers SIM cards that will work with the SMS100. When ordering a SMS SIM (Standard Size) card specify to your carrier the card must allow for standard SMS service not DATA only.

AT&T customers should consider the Asset Management Plan with up to 250kB of SMS service available monthly. All other plans offered by At&T render mixed results and issues with continued texting service to and from vessel using the SMS100 have been un-reliable.

Details of AT&T’s Mobility Service is found here: https://www.business.att.com/enterprise/Family/internet-of-things/asset-management/
