In addition to switching On and Off DC loads, can I use the DCR100 to monitor current flow to the loads?

Estimated Reading Time: 1 Minutes

Yes, you can use the DCR100 to monitor DC current flow to loads using one of Maretron’s display products (e.g., N2KView, DSM150, or DSM250). Each of the six channels within the DCR100 reports how much current is flowing to the load, which is useful for several reasons. For example, if a circuit is switched On but there is no current flow, it might be indicative of a burnt out pump or a corroded wire which has fallen off. Whatever the reason for no current flow, it’s important to know that that the piece of equipment you switched On isn’t doing anything. It can also be useful to see when a piece of equipment is drawing more and more current over time, which might be indicative of imminent equipment failure.
