What IP settings does Maretron recomended for the IPG100 connection to a dedicated N2KView device (DSM800 or MBB100) to work properly?
Estimated Reading Time: 1 MinutesMaretron recommends the following configuration setting to successfully make a connection between N2KView running on a DSM800 or MBB100 to the IPG100. First, configure the IPG100 using N2KAnalyzer, a DSM150, or a DSM250. The procedure for configuring the IP address on an IPG100 using a DSM150 or DSM250 is as follows:
- Press the key to open the main menus
- Scroll to the "Configuration..." menu and press
- Scroll to DHCP and press
- scroll to "NO" and press
The IPG100 will default to the following values in each entry:
- IP Address: 192.168.0.2
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
- Default DNS: 192.168.0.1
Configuration settings for the MBB100 or DSM800:
- Touch the screen to display the tabs.
- Select the "Commands & Settings" tab.
- Select "Configuration" button in the "Commands & Settings" window.
- Select the "Network" tab.
- Uncheck "Use DHCP".
- Enter the following in the corresponding fields
- IP Address: 192.168.0.5
- Netmask: 255.255.255.0
- Gateway: 192.168.0.1
- Name Server: 192.168.0.1
- Press the "Update" button when complete.
The final step is to input the necessary setting into the N2KView connection dialog.
- Touch the screen to display the tabs.
- Select the "Commands & Settings" tab.
- Select "Connections" button in the "Commands & Settings" window.
- Enter the following in the corresponding fields:
- Hostname / IP Address: 192.168.0.2
- Port: 6544
- Click on "Connect" button
