Although dissimilar metals in contact with each other are subject to corrosion in the marine environment, several corrosion inhibitors are available. Tef-Gel, Duralac, & Lanacote are a few (please check the label for your particular application). If the joints are subject to frequent saltwater contact, it is recommended that they are taken apart and recoated from time to time to prevent corrosion and/or seizing.
