Is it possible to turn on or off SSC200 NMEA 0183 transmitted sentences?

Yes, it is possible to turn on and off the SSC200 transmitted NMEA 0183 sentences or messages using Maretron’s DSM150, DSM200, or DSM250 display. On the display:

  1. Enter menu mode, scroll to "Configuration:" and press 
  2. Scroll to "Device Configuration?" and press 
  3. Scroll to the row containing the SSC200 and press 
  4. Scroll to "NMEA 0183 Settings..." and press 
  5. Scroll to "Sentence/Rate Selection" and press 
  6. You will see a list of sentences that the SSC200 transmits. Scroll to the sentence that you want to turn on or off and press
  7. Use the or arrow keys to choose "Disable", which will prevent the sentence from being transmitted or choose the period at which the sentence will be transmitted
