The SSC200 rate of turn may indicate that the vessel is turning when the vessel is not turning. You correct this situation by calibrating the rate of turn gyro within the SSC200 using either a DSM200 or a DSM250. To calibrate the rate of turn using one of the displays:
If you do this calibration at a couple of temperatures (early in the morning right after you power the compass and again at the hottest part of the day), the SSC200 will provide accurate rate of turn indications across that temperature range.
