I see that Maretron’s DSM150, DSM200, and DSM250 displays have a SSC200 configuration setting called "Invert Installation:"; what is this?

Maretron’s DSM150, DSM200, and DSM250 displays have a SSC200 configuration setting called "Invert Installation:", which is used to describe the orientation of the compass relative to the vessel. For example, the compass can be mounted upside down on a ceiling and this configuration setting is used to indicate the orientation of the compass relative to the vessel.
