Why doesn’t the WSO100 atmospheric pressure agree with my locally reported barometric pressure?

Estimated Reading Time: 1 Minutes

The WSO100 measures atmospheric pressure, which isn’t adjusted for elevation like the locally reported barometric pressure. If you use the WSO100 at sea level, then the atmospheric pressure and barometric pressure should agree, however if you use the WSO100 at some other elevation than sea level, then the WSO100 atmospheric pressure will not agree with the reported barometric pressure. You can electronically adjust the WSO100 atmospheric pressure to agree with the reported barometric pressure using Maretron’s DSM150 or DSM250 display or N2KAnalyzer software. To set the WSO100 atmospheric pressure to be the same as the reported barometric pressure using a DSM150 or DSM250 display, use the following procedure:

  1. Enter menu mode, scroll to "Configuration..." and press
  2. Scroll to "Device Configuration..." and press
  3. Scroll to the row containing the WSO100 and press
  4. Scroll to "Barometric Pressure:" and press
  5. Scroll up or down until you set the appropriate barometric pressure and press
