The Maretron SSC200 is a solid state, magnetic compass that is capable of measuring heading, pitch, roll, and rate of turn. The information is broadcast over an NMEA 0183 connection or an NMEA 2000 network where the information is available for any or all NMEA 2000 compatible products. Since the SSC200 compass is a solid state device and there are no moving parts, the headings are extremely stable in rolling and pitching seas and the response time is extremely fast, making the compass ideal for all heading applications, but especially autopilot or radar overlay applications.
