My cellular provider is requesting the SMS100 IMEI number. What is a IMEI number? Where can I find this number on my SMS100?

What is a device's IMEI number?

"Every mobile phone, GSM modem or device with a built-in phone / modem has a unique 15 digit IMEI number. Based on this number, you can check some information about the device, e.g., the brand or model or the device.

Where can I find this number on my SMS100?

Each Maretron SMS100 has a unique IMEI number that can be found inside the SMS100 enclosure. Remove all four screws to open the SMS100 device. When the device enclosure has been opened examine the GSM module with the Ublox logo. On the module, look for the unique IMEI number that has been printed underneath the Ublox logo.
