The EMS100 is suitable to work with Yanmar Engines which carry the Yazaki type connector.
- If your engine comes with a Yanmar panel, please note that all panels are not compatible. In recent years Yanmar has introduced a engine panel that utilizes the alternator Voltage for tachometer measurement, this will affect how the EMS100 reads and transmits tachometer readings at various RPM ranges.
- The EMS100 requires calibration and adjustment that can only be made using the DSM250 or the N2KAnalyzer. - To ensure your engine is fully compatible with the EMS100 verify the engine has two Yazaki connectors and the criteria listed below:

Note: The EMS100 wire harness (part # - EMSYRM01) connects between the engine and instrument panel. Most modern Yanmar engines use the rectangular Yazaki connector, but you should verify the type of connector prior to considering purchasing the EMS100 or associated wiring harness.
