The SSC200 compass outputs heading information in magnetic form and before N2KView can display true heading, the variation must be known. One source of variation is the Maretron GPS antenna/receiver (GPS100). If an SSC200 and GPS100 are connected together on the network, the true heading can be computed and displayed on N2KView. To view true heading on N2KView, click on the "Units Setup" tab, and select "Magnetic from the "Heading/Course/Bearing" setting. If you try and select true and there is no variation source, N2KView will not show the heading.
