I navigate using magnetic heading and not true heading, how do I use the SSC200 compass and Maretron's DSM200 or DSM250 display to view my heading in magnetic?
The SSC200 compass outputs heading information in magnetic format, so you just need to properly configure the DSM200 or DSM250 to display heading in magnetic. To view magnetic heading on the DSM200 or DSM250, enter menu mode by pressing the enter key. Scroll to "Units?" and press enter. Scroll to "Heading:" and press enter. Scroll to "Magnetic" and press enter. Press the back key three times to return to normal screen viewing.
