NMEA 2000 allows multiple devices of the same type to be connected on a network at one time. The "Instance:" menu item allows you to choose a particular device for display on the DSM250. For example, if there were two GPS antennas on the network, you could pick which GPS is used for the display.


Note: This feature is only available for the DSM250 Software Version 1.3.8 or higher.
