·         Maretron announces the release of version 3.0 of the N2KView® NMEA 2000 Network Display Software. The program is available from (http://www.maretron.com/downloads), under the “Software Updates” category. Details of the latest point release for all version available for review under the attachments category.

 

 

 

·         The build number of this release is 3.4.20111025.

·         Changes in the N2KView® version 3.4 from version 3.3:

 

·         Total Revision of Cameras

·         Alert thresholds may be specified with fractional values

·         Labels from J2K100 are now filtered according to the function of the J2K100. This prevents duplicate labels.

·         French Language added for trial.

·         Added ability to prevent updates from the web.

·         New parameters of Trip Fuel Used and Total Trip Fuel Used

·         Added Reset button to Digital Control

·         Improved saving of files to N2KServer

·         Binary Communication with N2KServer, if supported on N2KServer

·         Alert Actions can command switches

·         Moving Averages may be calculated for almost any parameter before display

·         Two types of averages (Linear and Angular) dependent on Unit Type.

·         Support for LOCKing Breakers

·         Moritz AC and DC switches that are LOCKED will display LOCKED on N2KView

·         Maretron DCR100 switches that are LOCKED will display LOCKED on N2KView

·         Moritz and Maretron switches may be locked and unlocked from within from a new Breaker Lockout Dialog

·         Load Shedding through Moritz AC and DC panel and Maretron DCR100

·         Licenses are reported per function.

·         Control tabs are now aggregated onto a Setup Dialog to allow display on smaller screens.

·         Support for Cloud Server

·         New parameters for data used, data remaining, percent used, percent remaining

·         New fields in Connections Dialog.

·         Video Frames will be requested from the Cloud Server if the connection to the N2KServer is through the Cloud Server.

·         Better layout in Connections Dialog for N2KServers detected.

·         Fuel Economy displays “No Fuel Rate” when fuel rate is not received. it was displaying “No SOG”)

·         Minor Improvements to improve consistency and quality

·         Minimum Height changed from 560 to 600 pixels; Component Edit Dialog was cutting off the Accept and Cancel buttons on small screens.

·         Toggling Day/Night mode will be saved in the configuration

·         Virtual Keyboard will not be displayed on fields that are disabled.

·         Many Parameters that were limited to Digital Controls now also have Gauge, Bar Graph, and Line Graph options.

·         Some Parameters were not associated with Instances that should have been. (e.g. Bearing Origin to Destination)

·         Some timeouts increased to match DSM250. (e.g. Wind Data to 3 )

·         When displaying Lat / Long, minutes are now rounded

·         Alert Modes may be entered through Control Keys ctrl-A, ctrl-D, ctrl-M, and ctrl-U. New Alert modes of “User 1” and “User 2”.

·         The term “Direction” is now replaced with “Direction/Angle” with reference to Wind.

·         Connection names changed from “Primary | Secondary” to “1st | 2nd”

 

·         The build number of this release is 3.3.20110422.

·         Changes in the N2KView® version 3.3 from version 3.2:

 

·         New switch components, including momentary switches

·         Support for Maretron DCR100, including the ability to display the switch current

·         New Alerts : Burnt-Out-Bulb and Low-Current-When-On

·         Compass Rose divisions changed to 10 degrees

·         Added a second IP address to Connections Dialog

·         Added a Reverse Rudder component

·         Removed buttons from Video component when PTZ functionality is not available

·         Reduced time taken to save Line Graph data.

·         Reworked default email addresses in Alert Action Dialog

·         Pop up a window when a user tries to overwrite the default configuration file

 

 

 

·         Changes in N2KView® version 3.1 from version 3.0:

 

·         Corrected a Control Problem with Sea Recovery Watermakers

·         Added Ship’s timestamp to Alert email messages.

·         Renaming of Parameters to match DSM250 (e.g. under Category AC Bus, the parameter AC Bus Avg. Frequency is now just Avg. Frequency)

·         Added a Gauge option for Wind Speed.

·         Corrected problem where Tank Total Capacity was incorrect.

·         Corrected file access Better to work on non-Windows operating systems (Mac and LINUX).

·         Graphs now show minimum and maximum values as well as average values for a range of times. You can also hover over points on the graph to see the values.

·         If data from the server stops flowing, yet we are still connected, N2KView will disconnect and establish a new connection.

·         N2KView checks the version of N2KServer and notifies the user if N2KServer needs updating.

·         Corrected bug in Alerts Page where time type (local or UTC) was not always displayed in the column header.

·         Added support for Axis Video Encoder type Q7401.

·         Added more time zones (- 13 and +14 hours)

·         Changes in N2KView® version 3.0 from version 2.x:
This is a complete rewrite of N2KView which will result in better stability and efficiency.
Improved time to start up and connect with N2KSever®
Added support for MarineAir Elite and CruiseAir Air Conditioners
Added support for Eskimo Ice Makers
Added support for Sea Recovery Watermakers
Added support for PC Speakers to sound on alerts
Increased functionality and choices on Alerts and Alert email generation.
Added the ability to transfer configuration files to other N2KView® stations via N2KServer®
Added support for N2KView on the iPhone / iPod. N2KView® for the iPhone / iPod needs to be downloaded from the Apple Store.
Added the ability for N2KView® to notify the user when updates are available and install these updates on request.

New Features in N2KView® version 2.6.3 from version 2.6.1:

·         Other Changes in N2KView® version 2.6.3 from version 2.6.1:

 

·         Improved display of wind data when vessel is not moving.

·         Tank selections for multiple tanks could bloat the configuration file.

·         Cameras could bloat the configuration file.

·         New Features in N2KView® version 2.6.0 from version 2.5:

·         Line Graph may now be used to record history values of most parameters; previously it was limited to the Barometer.

·         New Depth Graph for depth parameters

·         Added alert type of Anchor Watch Alert

·         Added Anchor Watch Alert Control

·         A backup configuration file will now be created when parameters are changed. If the main configuration file is corrupted, the contents may be recovered provided that no editors have been entered since.

·         Minimum and Maximum Markers have been added. These are “pushed” by the needle to remember the maximum and minimum values. The following controls have this new functionality

·         Gauges.

·         Bar Graphs

·         Heading Gauges

·         Wind Gauges

·         Inclinometer

·         Rate of Turn

 

·         Other Changes in N2KView® version 2.6.0 from version 2.5:

·         Alerts protocol changed to meet the new protocol definition. This now matches the protocol used by DSM250 version 1.4.2 (2009‐08‐07).

·         Line Graph is updated with more ranges. All line graphs will record data for 96 hours (4 days) and at the smallest ranges will have a resolution of 1 second.

·         Bug 1123 fixed – allow negative set points for temperature alerts.

·         Buttons now have white text on darker backgrounds. This is more readable.

·         Square controls have been re‐sized to be the same width and height as the round controls.

·         Added instance number selection to “Dew Point” control.

·         For connections to N2KServer, if port 6543 is chosen, the connection will NOT create a secure tunnel.

·         The number of AC categories has been reduced to three (Generator, Bus, and Utility).

·         The consistency of the Demo Data has been improved, new controls have been added, and data provided to support those controls.

·         In rare cases the digital control would display a “‐“, even though valid data was present. This has been corrected.
