The purpose of the SIM100 is to indicate the state of up to 6 switches over an NMEA 2000 network. THE SIM100 can monitor normally closed switches like magnetic door, window, and hatch switches. The SIM100 can also monitor normally open switches like carbon monoxide, LP, and smoke detectors. Finally, with an end-of-line resistor installed at the sensor, the SIM100 can indicate if the wires have become disconnected (either accidently through corrosion or intentionally by a burglar). Please see the attached manual and the accessories installation instructions for more details.
