You set the J2K100 configuration setting called "NMEA 2000 Transmission Instance:" using Maretron's DSM200 or DSM250 display in the following way. Enter menu mode, scroll to "Configuration?" and press enter. Scroll to "Device Configuration?" and press enter. Scroll to the row containing the J2K100 and press enter. Scroll to "NMEA 2000 Transmission Instance:" and press enter. Scroll until you find the appropriate instance (single or port transmission would be instance 0 where the starboard transmission would be instance 1) and press enter.
