The GPS100 can be mounted to a flat surface or it can be mounted with the supplied pole mount. The GPS100 pole mount threads onto a standard marine 1", 14 threads per inch pole. Always mount or dismount the GPS100 with the three screws that hold the GPS100 to the pole mount, never screw or unscrew the GPS100 and pole mount off of the mounting pole as this will twist the attached cable and possibly damage the GPS100 connector.
