Yes, the baud rate can be changed from the default rate of 4800 baud to 38,400 baud. Please refer to the users manual for changing the baud rate.

Note:
The SSC200 compass updated to firmware version 2.0.11, a user can configure the 0183 baud rate using a DSM250 multi function display.
