Yes, you can change how often the SSC200 transmits messages over the NMEA 0183 network. There are two ways to change the rate at which NMEA 0183 sentences are transmitted; 1) using Maretron's DSM200 or DSM250 display, or 2) sending the SSC200 a proprietary NMEA 0183 message via hyper terminal (please see the SSC200 user manual). To set the NMEA 0183 sentence rate using Maretron's DSM200 or DSM250 display, enter menu mode, scroll to "Configuration?" and press enter. Scroll to "Device Configuration?" and press enter. Scroll to the row containing the SSC200 and press enter. Scroll to "NMEA 0183 Settings..." and press enter. Scroll to "Sentence/Rate Selection" and press enter. You will see a list of sentences that the SSC200 transmits. Scroll to the sentence that you want to turn on or off and press enter. Use the up or down arrow keys to choose "Disable", which will prevent the sentence from being transmitted or choose the period at which the sentence will be transmitted.
